“Hello, I’m Hitesh and I’m the Data & IT Systems Administrator here at Bolton Hospice. I’ve been here for 5 months now and am really enjoying the role so far.

I’m responsible for making sure everyone has access to the right IT programmes and applications relevant to their role, and that they’re confident in using them. I also lead on information security and information governance across the hospice, making sure that everything we do follows the necessary legislation.

I also work closely with our external IT suppliers, helping to resolve any IT issues that people have, continuously making sure our systems are the best they can be, and ultimately making sure everyone in the hospice can do their jobs! No matter what role someone does here, they ultimately rely on IT to do some parts of it.

My favourite thing about working here is the breadth of the people I work with – as everyone ultimately has some interaction with IT, it’s really rewarding to know that I’m supporting everyone to do their jobs and to deliver the very best care to the people of Bolton.”
