"I first joined the hospice as a volunteer, 20 years ago now. I was looking to get back into something when my daughter started school, so thought I'd give it a go and get some new skills under my belt. Then a job came up in Lottery and I've been here ever since!

"My favourite part of the job is the variety, without a doubt. I love signing new members up, making that Friday morning phone call to our weekly winners, and hearing our players' stories. Especially if they have a connection to the hospice, if we've cared for a loved one or something.

Part of my job, as well, is looking at figures around how many people we have playing, and it's great knowing how that translates to how many people we can care for at the hospice.

"That pound a week makes such a difference to real people's lives and I love getting that across."
