Coronavirus Visitor Update

Updated: 7th February 2022

We currently have a small number of patients with Covid-19 and therefore all visitors are required to undertake daily Lateral Flow Tests for the next 7 days. We ask that all visitors ideally undertake the LFT at home prior to visiting and report the results via the Government website.

If a visitor does not have proof of a negative test done on the day of their visit then they will be tested on site and their result reported as per the usual system.

When visitors arrive at the Hospice they will be required to show evidence of a negative LFT and will then go straight to the patients room.

All current Infection Prevention and Control measures for staff and volunteers will continue including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the current testing regime for staff and volunteers and the use of PPE for visitors on site, as per current guidance for healthcare providers from NHS England,  as our guidance is slightly different, to that of the public.

Unfortunately the Family Space will no longer be available to visitors during this period of  higher infection. We kindly request that our visitors leave directly after their visit.

Thank you all for your continued support and co-operation with enabling our patients to have visitors and maintaining the safety of everyone, it is greatly appreciated.
