Recruitment Open Day
On Friday 11th March, from 10am to 2pm, we will be holding a Recruitment Open Day on site at the hospice. On the day you will have a chance to find out what it’s like to work at Bolton Hospice, meet the team, have a look around, and talk to some of our managers about the range of exciting career and volunteer opportunities we have available. We have lots of roles from nursing to fundraising, and each one makes a real difference to the lives of our patients and their loved ones.
It’s an exciting time to be working at the hospice, with the roll out of our Great Place to Work programme, providing lots of opportunities for staff wellbeing, training and development. We are also really excited to be rolling out the Wellbeing Hub programme of activities for the people of Bolton who have a life limiting illness to access. We have a passionate, professional and hard-working team, who are all dedicated to working towards achieving our mission and living our values every day.
“We’re really enthusiastic and motivated with how our services are growing and we are looking for passionate, caring and committed staff to join the team. We’re recognised as a centre for excellence for specialist palliative care and education within Bolton. In addition, our 16-bed Inpatient Unit, our Wellbeing Hub and Hospice at Home services, provide amazing standards of care to the people of Bolton.
At the Recruitment Open Day you’ll be able to meet existing members of the team, take a tour of the hospice and our beautiful gardens and find out just what we can offer and how we can help you reach your career goals. Whether you are already well-experienced in palliative care, or would like to develop your knowledge of the field, we can offer continued learning, along with a great work-life balance. We have excellent benefits for staff including free car parking, subsidised meals and membership of a healthcare scheme. And, of course, current NHS staff will still be able to contribute to their existing NHS pension.
All in all, it really is a great place to work, and you’ll be part of some exciting new developments in palliative care!” - Jenny Gallagher, Clinical Nurse Director
If you are interested in joining the team, we offer excellent terms and conditions of employment, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
