Celebrating 30 years of hospice care in our community!
On 3rd March we celebrated 30 years of providing specialist care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families. Here's just some of the ways we celebrated the day...
Thursday 3rd March
Bolton FM promoted our 30th anniversary all day, including special messages from our hospice family and music to match the celebrations!
In this edition of the Bolton News we had a special commemorative 8 page supplement included; filled with stories, the hospice's history and ways to join our big 30th birthday celebrations.
Our charity shops and the Old Bank Cafe got into the party spirit to mark our 30th anniversary, and shared thanks to our community for their support by giving the 30th customers of the day their own special gift.
We were thrilled to be joined by High Sheriff of Greater Manchester Diane Hawkins, Mayor of Bolton Linda Thomas, volunteers, staff and members of our hospice family to celebrate 30 years of Bolton Hospice!
Friday 4th March
Our CEO Leigh Vallance was the featured ‘castaway’ on 96.5 Bolton FM from 9am – 9.25am as she was ‘Deserted on an Island’ with presenters Andrew and Phil on the mid-morning show. Leigh shared the story of what has led her to where she is today, as she marks 10 years at the hospice.
Saturday 5th March
We held our fantastic 'Bow Ties & Pearls' 30th Anniversary Ball at the Bolton Whites Hotel, and were joined by many of our wonderful supporters, staff and special guests to celebrate 30 years of Bolton Hospice.
A huge thank you to everyone for joining us, plus...
Our headline sponsor Stateside Foods, Phil Ashcroft, Bolton FM, Ladybridge Singers, Hospice Poet Phil Isherwood, Rosie-Adamson Clark, our fantastic volunteers, Fabriplas and Bolton Signs for their contributions to the evening.
And to all of our generous auction and raffle prize donors, including The Mayor of Bolton, Charity Escapes, Malmaison Manchester, Hotel du Vin Cheltenham and Schools Direct Supplies.
There's still time to show your support...
