One lucky local lady has won big on our Lottery, taking home a fabulous prize of £2,600, the first rollover prize to be won since the we gave our lottery a new look earlier this year.

Lesley Cryer, from Smithills, was excited to receive a phone call from Bolton Hospice Lottery Manager, Kerry Formston, last week, and to learn of her win.

Lesley hasn’t decided yet what she will do with her winnings, but the possibilities are endless!

Kerry Formston, Lottery Manager at the hospice, said, “It’s always my favourite part of my job, ringing our lucky winners after our draw every Friday, but this phone call was extra special because it was the first time anyone has one our new rollover prize. I’ve been eagerly waiting each week to see if it’s going to be won, or rolled over to the next draw, so it was a really exciting moment for us in the lottery office.”

Starting at £200, there is a small chance each week that the rollover prize will be won, but if fate dictates that there is to be no winner that week, the prize pot grows by another £200 the following week.

In Lesley’s case, the prize money had grown to the sum of £2,600 before being won.

Our Lottery is open to anyone over the age of 18, from Bolton or otherwise, for just £2 per week.

Playing the lottery provides you with the chance of winning a guaranteed prize of £1000 each week, as well as the rollover prize which can reach as much as £10,000, and 36 other guaranteed cash prizes.
