Our eBay shop is one way Bolton Hospice raises much needed funds to help provide vital care and support for our local community. We opened our eBay shop during COVID, to help generate needed funds during lockdown. Since then, we have received and sold thousands of your generous donations! Let’s take a look at the journey of a special item…

💜 When you donate something of a little more value to one of our charity shops, or directly to our eBay team via our Tonge Moor Road shop, the eBay journey begins.

🔎 Our wonderful eBay volunteers research and value the item. This allows us to know as much as possible about the different items that get donated.

📸 The item is then photographed by another member of the eBay team. It’s important that we take the best possible photos.

📋 The item is then listed with as much information as possible, to help it sell and gain attention.

🛒 The special donation is then won by a lucky bidder in one of our Sunday night auctions, or bagged as a ‘Buy it now’ item.

📦 Once the item has sold it is then lovingly packaged by another of our caring volunteers. The item is then posted to its new home!

The item we followed was a Rolling Stones LP that raised a fantastic £36 for Bolton Hospice. Our entire eBay operation raises thousands of pounds each year to support local people facing terminal and life-limiting illnesses!
