Education team receives generous grant!

Our education team have received a generous grant of £4878 from the East Lancashire Masonic Charitable Trust to purchase a state-of-the-art nursing manikin.

This advanced, full-body manikin will enable hands-on training for our staff and other healthcare professionals in the community, helping the hospice to continue providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to those facing terminal and life-limiting illnesses.

The manikin will enable staff to practice a wide range of essential nursing skills, from basic patient care to more complex procedures, in a realistic and safe environment.

“We are incredibly grateful to the East Lancashire Masonic Charitable Trust for their generous support,” said Carolyn Wong, Educator at Bolton Hospice. “This grant will significantly enhance our training capabilities and ensure that our staff and community members have access to the most up-to-date and effective training resources.”

We regularly hosts training courses for healthcare professionals, covering a range of clinical, communication and care topics. For more information visit https://www.boltonhospice.org.uk/training-and-education
