Making patient’s dreams come true!

A dedicated nurse has gone above and beyond to fulfil a patient's wish this week.

Mia, a resident with us, has always been passionate about animals, even completing a Diploma in Animal Welfare before her illness. Her dream was to visit a safari park, but sadly, her health made that impossible.

Learning of Mia's aspirations, nurse Molly Nutt took it upon herself to create a memorable animal experience for Mia and her family. By a fortunate coincidence, Molly had a friend with a goat and quickly set about arranging a very special visit.

This week, two-month-old Mary the goat came to the hospice to spend time with Mia. The visit provided a precious and lasting memory for Mia and her family and allowed Mia to realise her dream of cuddling an animal.

"We’d like to thank everyone who was involved in bringing little Mary to the hospice this week," said Molly, Clinical Support Nurse at Bolton Hospice. "It was a truly heartwarming experience for everyone involved, and we are so grateful to have been able to make Mia's wish come true."
