Band 6 Palliative Care/Clinical Practice Educator


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and passionate Band 6 Palliative Care Educator to join our Education Team. As a Palliative Care Educator you will work alongside the Palliative Education and Development Lead, the workforce, and external agencies to ensure high standards of quality across the organisation. £28,314 - £34,094 per annum

(WTE Salary £35,392 - £42,618 per annum pro rata dependent on experience)

30 hours per week across 7 days

 

The Role:

The appointed Palliative Care/Clinical Practice Educator will support on collaboration with the University of Bolton to develop, plan, deliver and evaluate the End of Life Care programmes within higher education at all academic levels, for staff, volunteers and health care teams. The educator will also engage with local communities to raise the profile of hospice services, including support of the development and maintenance of an outreach education program that encourages high standards of palliative care across the health sector and maximises hospice income.

What you need:

The successful Palliative Care/Clinical Practice Educator will need to demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, be a forward-thinking Registered Nurse, with a teaching qualification or have extensive experience in both formal and informal teaching subjects relating to palliative care. The successful Educator will have experience of planning, delivering training.  You will be proactive and adaptable, as well as a great team player. The appointed Educator will work closely with the Education Lead and will be involved in engaging with the public and raising awareness as well as developing and delivering education for a variety of roles in both internal and external organisations.
