Education & Development Lead


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and passionate nurse educator to join and lead the Education Team. The post holder will work in collaboration with the University of Bolton and Bolton Integrated Care Partnership to ensure that practice-based learning enhances expertise, effectiveness and End of Life Care provisions across the Bolton healthcare economy.

 

Band 7(£43,742 - £50,056 per annum pro rata)

(dependent upon experience)

30 hours /4 days per week

 

The Role:

The role will lead on the collaboration with the University of Bolton to develop, plan, deliver and evaluate the End of Life Care programmes within higher education at all academic levels, for staff, volunteers and health care teams.

What you need:

The Education & Development Lead will be a forward-thinking Registered Nurse, with clinical and academic credibility within the sphere of palliative care and a proactive and innovative approach to learning and development.  You should hold a teaching qualification, such as PGCE, as well as advanced communication skills and mentorship training.

The successful candidate will have experience of planning, delivering and evaluating education and training.  You will be proactive and adaptable, as well as a great team player. Experience in successfully managing and delivering change is a key attribute. Proven experience in multi-professional working is key, as you will be working across organisational boundaries, in partnership with a number of external bodies to contribute to the wider palliative and End of Life Care agenda, locally and nationally.
