Celebrating Diwali in style!


Our Diwali Open Day on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, was a resounding success, attracting visitors from the Bolton Hospice community and beyond.

The event, held at the Wellbeing Hub, showcased the our flexible drop-in support services and celebrated the Festival of Lights.

The open day offered a range of activities, including Mehndi, arts and crafts, and delicious traditional cuisine.

A particular highlight of the day was the visit by the Mayor of Bolton, who joined in the festivities and even got involved in the cookery demonstrations hosted by Sushma Snacks. The Mayor’s presence added to the celebratory atmosphere and further emphasised the importance of the our hospice’s work.

“We were delighted by the turnout and the positive feedback we received from the community,” said Lisa Ridgley, sister at our Wellbeing Hub. “The Diwali Open Day was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community and showcase the invaluable work we do. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event!”
