Enhanced Communication Skills - 3rd May (NOW FULLY BOOKED)
This one day workshop focuses on the theory and practical skills required to communicate sensitively and effectively. Good communication is vital in the work we do and has been shown to enhance dignity and respect, preferred place of care, reduce complaints and improve not only the care you give but the environment you work in.
Course topics
- Recognise and practice key facilitative communication skills in a safe and supportive environment.
- Recognise patient cues and concerns when delivering patient-centred care.
- Identify own learning needs and apply the skills to challenging scenarios, e.g. Difficult questions, anger or distress.
