Dr Leigh Vallance celebrates 10 years as hospice CEO

Monday 7th February marks Dr Leigh Vallance's 10th Anniversary as Chief Executive here at Bolton Hospice.

Dr Leigh Vallance"A very proud day for me then as it remains for me today. As CEO my purpose is to lead Bolton Hospice in setting and achieving the objectives needed to ensure the highest quality of specialist palliative and end of life care services are provided, continuously, effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of the people of Bolton, amongst the many other things I do.

It is an honour and a privilege to be the custodian of this role, leading a fantastic team of staff and volunteers, who do amazing things each and every day.

I hope to bring as much energy, enthusiasm, passion, commitment and drive to continuing to make Bolton Hospice one of the best in the country, leading the way in delivering Hospice Care that meets the needs of the whole of its community, as well as championing hospice philosophy of specialist care and support for all.

Chairman Judith Bromley and CEO Leigh Vallance

The challenges of the last 10 years have been many as you would expect in an ever evolving and growing organisation but together with the hospice team we have overcome them.

There are many challenges ahead that we will tackle in the same way, with a clear head, honest dialogue, a steady plan, integrity and and absolute commitment, so we will always have a hospice that we and Bolton can be proud of both now and in the future."
