Band 5 Staff Nurses
We are currently seeking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurses and to work within the Inpatient Unit at Bolton Hospice. This will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for anyone wishing to further develop their nursing skills and knowledge within specialist palliative care.
£25,655 - £31,534 per annum
(Entry-Top level Band 5, dependent upon experience, unsocial hours enhancements paid in addition)
34.5 hours per week (Full Time 37.5 considered)
The IPU is a 24 hour, 7 day service and the roles will therefore include weekends and either day/night rotation or night shifts only. Long day shifts are available to staff on IPU (34.5 hours is 3 long days/night shifts)
The Role
Working as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, you will support patients with complex clinical needs and provide hands-on, person-centred care. Our staff strive to provide the highest quality of service for our patients and their families and carers, through a collaborative team approach. All IPU staff work both night and day shifts on rotation; however, a nights only contract would be considered for this role.
What you need:
To apply, you must be a Registered General Nurse, who is enthusiastic and flexible with a passion for specialist palliative and end of life care. A recognised post-registration palliative care qualification and/or experience in the specialty is desirable, although you will be fully supported in the role if you have limited or no experience with the specialty. You will have access to a range of training and development opportunities and be welcomed as a valued member of an experienced and supportive team.
