We are looking for an efficient and effective administrator with excellent organisational and people skills to support the work of our Volunteering team.

We rely upon the support of over 700 incredible volunteers who assist in many areas of the organisation, including our charity shops, reception, gardens, inpatient unit, wellbeing hub, offices, at fundraising events and more.

If you’re an experienced administrator, love working with people, and want to put your skills and experience to good use at a much-loved local charity - we’d love to hear from you.

The Role:

As Volunteering Administrator, you will provide efficient and effective administration support in relation to our team of 700+ volunteers.

You’ll be responsible for organising rotas of hospice-based volunteers and act as the first point of contact for all volunteer related enquiries from within and outside the organisation.

You’ll also be involved in the recruitment and selection of new volunteers and help to arrange training to ensure all volunteers have the necessary skills to perform their roles safely and effectively.

The role also involves supporting the Volunteering Development Manager with volunteer communications and ensuring that volunteers’ contribution to the charity is recognised and celebrated, ultimately helping to make Bolton Hospice a great place to volunteer.

What you need:

First and foremost, you’ll need to show us that you have a strong commitment to Bolton Hospice’s vision and values and are passionate about the amazing contribution that volunteers make to our organisation.
