Wellbeing Hub Service Lead
Bolton Hospice are delighted to share this unique opportunity for an experienced allied health professional leader to manage our Wellbeing Hub.
The Wellbeing Hub Service Lead role has a broad and diverse remit to drive forward the highest standards of palliative care service provision, to enable people with serious, advanced, life-limiting
illness to live as fully as possible and to support and empower a compassionate community to live well.
Part Time 30hrs per week
Predominantly Tuesday to Friday, with flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings
Band 7 £38,890 - £44,503 per annum pro rata
(Actual salary £31,112 - £35,602 depending upon experience)
The Role
The post holder will lead on the operational organisation of the Wellbeing Hub, ensuring that patients living with advancing disease and those important to them are well supported. The Wellbeing Hub model is designed to demonstrate expert practice and meet the needs of a greater population of local people affected by life-limiting illness. The emphasis is on offering rehabilitation and promoting and maintaining independence and quality of life through therapy interventions and support, on a group or individual basis. The Service Lead will ensure that the model remains effective and efficient in the delivery of services, monitoring and reporting on outcomes. You will provide clinical leadership to embed a rehabilitative approach into all support interventions delivered by our clinical staff and volunteers in the Wellbeing Hub.
What you need:
We are looking for a Registered Allied Health Professional (Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy) with relevant experience working at a senior level within palliative care. You will have a passion for truly person-centred support and an inclusive leadership style that draws upon solution-focused, interdisciplinary approaches and a commitment to partnership working, both within the hospice and externally. The successful candidate will have proven experience of planning, delivering and evaluating Wellbeing sessions and will have project management experience and Leadership & Management training. Ideally, you will hold an Enhanced/Advanced Communications Skills qualification and have experience of developing business cases. It is essential that the post holder is able to travel independently, to be able to attend meetings off-site when required.
