Supporting young people through loss, grief and bereavement

Our Education Team here at Bolton Hospice have created resources to offer support to those supporting children, and here you can see a bitesize version of the training they offer that you may find useful as a parent, family member or teacher in helping the young people in your life through loss, grief and bereavement.

National Grief Awareness Week

This National Grief Awareness Week we wanted to share our thoughts and helpful resources here at the hospice, joining The Good Grief Trust in their hope to "normalise grief and get people talking."

During the current outbreak of Covid-19 we have had to restrict access to the hospice building for family members and friends of patients on the Inpatient Unit.

Following a number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 on our inpatient unit this week (two patients, two doctors and two nurses) we have been liaising with Public Health England and following their advice we are now implementing our contingency plan, which aims to mitigate any potential further risks to patients, staff and visitors.
