Hospice worker takes on epic challenge across Greater Manchester
A dad of two is set to take on an epic challenge as he prepares to run 100 miles over four days, visiting ten local hospices, including Bolton Hospice, on his route to raise awareness and valuable funds for the specialist care they provide.

Coronavirus Visitor Update
Updated: 23rd February 2022. During the current outbreak of Covid-19 we have had to restrict access to the hospice building for family members and friends of patients on the Inpatient Unit to ensure that our patients, staff and volunteers working within the Hospice are safe. We review our visiting restrictions on a regular basis and adjust them, depending on the national and/or local infection rates and guidance.

Dr Leigh Vallance celebrates 10 years as hospice CEO
Monday 7th February marks Dr Leigh Vallance's 10th Anniversary as Chief Executive here at Bolton Hospice.
School's Elf Run funds care at Christmas
Schools and nurseries across Bolton have raised an incredible amount of over £32,000 during December to fund the care given to patients and their families at Bolton Hospice on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Bolton Business couple take on the Strictly Learn to Dance challenge
Husband and Wife Kate and John Greenhalgh, run A Year of Dates - an online firm selling boxes of envelopes containing 12 months of dating ideas, encouraging couples to try new experiences and create memories together. This year they have decided to follow their own advice, and have signed up to our 12 week Strictly Learn to Dance challenge.
Teddies for Loving Care
Bolton Freemasons kindly donated a new supply of teddies to Bolton Hospice through ‘The Teddies for Loving Care’ initiative, which provides unique cuddly bears to Accident & Emergency departments and hospices for medical staff to give to young children.
