Beer festival raises £11,000
Helen Roberts and family recently hosted a beer festival, complete with live music and fun for all the family. The festival raised an incredible £11,000 for their chosen charities, including Bolton Hospice.
It's the second time Helen's organised the festival, in memory of her mum, Rosemary Smith, who was cared for at the hospice in 2021.

Meet John Hall, Spiritual Care & Bereavement Support Lead
“I’m John and I’m the Spiritual Care & Bereavement Support Lead at the hospice, and I’ve been here for about 6 and a half years now.
“I’d describe my role as also including lots of emotional support. That’s a really vital way of supporting patients and families through a difficult time, and what that looks like really depends on what matters most to them at the time.

Bolton Wanderers visit Bolton Hospice!
On Tuesday, in the week before Christmas, a ripple of excitement spread through the hospice as we were treated to a visit by Bolton Wanderers Official!
Patients and family members (and staff too, of course!) were very excited to meet some of the team. Rosie, Mark and Carol, who regularly attend our Wellbeing Hub, loved speaking to the players, and were grateful for their lovely gifts which were donated by the team.
